Tour Location

Samburu With its incredible wildlife and picturesque surroundings, it's a real surprise that Samburu National Park remains one of Kenya's lesser-visited regions. However, its peaceful atmosphere and the authentic wilderness experience sets it apart from the country's better-known wildlife reserves. Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngíro River, with its palm groves and dense forests, Samburu boasts plentiful wildlife and bird watching is especially good. The remainder of the reserve is semi-arid, making for easy game viewing. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some of the best and most colourful game viewing in the country.Samburu is one of the best places to see the elusive Leopard. It also is the only place to view the Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and the Somali Ostrich. Lake Nakuru One of the important lakes in the Great Rift Valley, Nakuru gained its fame due to the huge congregations of lesser flamingos. Though in the past decade, due to accumulation of excess water in the lake, has led to the decreasing number of these avian beauties, still the number of lesser flamingos seen here are close to a thousand birds, along with other water birds. The main highlight of this region are the endangered Black Rhinoceros and the White Rhino. Nakuru hence offers fantastic wildlife sightings as well as great photographic opportunities. The acacia forest and rocky slopes make this a very unique habitat than the other parks of the country ! Lake Nakuru covers 188 square kilometres of land of great ecological diversity - from lake water, woodland, bush grassland, to rocky ridges. The park is home to not just the lesser flamingo but over 400 species of birds. Other wildlife at the park includes lions, leopards, zebras, gazelles, eland, giraffes and the hyrax.   Masai Mara The Masai Mara Game Reserve was named for the Masai people who inhabit the area, and for the Mara River, which flows through this great reserve. It shares a border with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and is essentially a continuation of this park, forming the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. Covering an impressive 1510 km² , the Masai Mara is a land of breathtaking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The sheer abundance and diversity of animals here is truly mesmerizing !   Masai Mara The Masai Mara is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game.Arguably one of the most popular parks of the world, the plains of Masai Mara are host to a variety of wildlife. The celebrated Black-maned Lions are possibly the stars of the Mara but the graceful Cheetah, Elephant, Hippos, Gazelle, Hyena too are sighted here. For the birdwatchers too, Masai Mara is surely a treat as this place is known to have close to 500 species of birds !
