We will take only 7 participants for this highly special tour. In this particular tour, we will be spending 5 days exploring the ever enchanting mangroves of Sundarbans. The best time to explore this beautiful forest is during ‘low tide period’ of the month.
During this period more mud-banks are exposed, water levels are minimal and the probability of tracking the elusive ‘Swamp Tiger’ is highest ! It is also the best period to see a variety of birds and other mammals like Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Macaques,Otters and also the huge Saltwater Crocodiles which are the specialty of Sundarbans.

We spend an entire day on the boat,witnessing the mesmerizing sunrise and sunset views. This not only adds to the
overall experience being more rewarding, but also to leverage maximum time in the delta!

Tea – coffee, breakfast and lunch – everything is prepared and served on the boat itself. The boats we use are absolutely well equipped with kitchen and utensils.

These boats are self-contained and also have basic accommodation facilities to take a quick nap/ rest.
After the full day exploration, we retire for the day.
We stay at one of the islands in Sundarbans. The resort has clean, hygienic AC rooms of standard category.

Day 1 - Arrival at Kolkata. Transfer to Sundarbans.

The group assembles at Kolkata airport latest by 0800 hrs. Using a properly sanitized vehicle, group members are transferred to Gadkhali – the entry point to Sundarbans. (Travel time – about 2 and half to 3 hours by road, and then 1 and half hours by boat). We start exploring the delta right before reaching our resort. Lunch is served on the boat. We reach the resort by evening. Overnight at Sundarbans. (Meals - Lunch and Dinner)

Day 2- Full day cruise at Sundarbans. Stay at Sundarbans.

We explore different water channels in the delta from morning to evening (sunrise to sunset). Aranyamie Wildlife Mentor accompanying the group shares useful & relevant information about the mangrove ecosystem and the wildlife found at Sundarbans. Breakfast, lunch and evening snacks are prepared and served on the boat. Overnight at Sundarbans. (Meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 3 - Full day cruise at Sundarbans. Stay at Sundarbans.

Based on the previous day’s animal movement and species sighted, we explore either the same or totally different part of the delta. Along with birding and studying the unique mangrove trees, we also check for signs of the Big Cat movement in the creeks. Overnight at Sundarbans. (Meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 4 - Full day cruise at Sundarbans. Stay at Sundarbans.

One more full day in the delta ! We try to read as many signs as possible and try to track down the rare ‘Swamp Tiger’ of Sundarbans. Overnight at Sundarbans. (Meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 5 – Morning cruise in the delta. Travel back to Kolkata.

We have a quick morning cruise in the delta and then travel back to Gadkhali. From Gadkhali the group travels to Kolkata airport by road. (Travel time about 2 and half to 3 hours). Group is dropped at Kolkata airport. (Meals – breakfast)

GST 5%
Airfare (Domestic/ International).
Tips to the drivers, guides and staff at the resort.
Personal expenses of any kind - bottled water, extra meals (which are not included), room service, laundry service, any other beverages.
Insurance of any kind.
Camera fees.
Any other things not mentioned in the list of 'Inclusions'.

Cancellation Policy for domestic departures:
1. If the cancellation is made 61 days (or more) to the departure date - Rs.3000/- will be charged as cancellation fees.
2. If the cancellation is made between 46 to 60 days before the departure date - 25% of total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
3. If the cancellation is made between 31 to 45 days before the departure date - 50% of total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
4. If the cancellation is made between 16 to 30 days before the departure date - 75% of total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
5. If the cancellation is made within 15 days before the departure date - No Refund / No Credit Note.
6. 'No show' by participants - No Refund / No Credit Note.
Important: Cancellation needs to be communicated over email only. The date of email will be used while calculating the cancellation fees and Credit Note amount. Refund Rules -
1. Refunds will be given in the form of a ‘Credit Note’ only.
2. The same ‘Credit Note’ can be used to participate in any trip / tour / camp organized by Aranyamie Wilderness Safaris within the next 6 months from the date of generation of the Credit Note.
3. The Credit Note is transferable.
Please Note - Credit note will be issued as per Cancellation Policy mentioned above, only if the entire trip cost has been paid by the participant with 60 or more days remaining for departure.
